Created in 2009, FUSO is the only videoart festival with a continuous national and international program in Lisbon. Confronting historical and contemporary languages, it shows video works that cross the visual arts, performance, cinema, literature and the digital media, while proposing a new breach in the moving image of the 21st century.
FUSO circulates through several portuguese and foreign cities, with presentations adapted to theaters and other projection rooms. With a program of excellence, it intends to instigate the growth of national arts, contributing to the cultural diversity and to the promotion of portuguese artists inside and out of the country.
FUSO INSULAR is an initiative that pretends to propel the creation of video works and support emerging artists, by inviting national and international curators to present public sessions and develop educational spaces for the audiovisual on the São Miguel island.
