“CINEMATOGRAFIA – TEATRALIDADE”
O cinema à volta de cinco artes – Cinco artes à volta do cinema
“O cinema à volta de cinco artes, cinco artes à volta do cinema”, programa do Temps d’Images que questiona o cinema e a sua relação com as outras artes, entra este ano na sua quarta edição. Se nos dois últimos anos foi abordada a coreografia no cinema, nesta edição interroga as relações entre o cinema e o teatro.
Os filmes apresentados serão olhados e comentados do ponto de vista da teatralidade através da própria matéria do cinema: a sua forma, a sua construção, a representação.
Como tem acontecido nas outras edições, é a relação entre os filmes escolhidos, o catálogo, constituído por textos, em grande parte originais que olham os filmes desta perspetiva, e o encontro com os autores dos textos, realizadores, críticos, autores, etc., o que faz a base e a matéria que singulariza este programa.
Serão apresentados filmes de Gregory Markopoulos (que nunca foram apresentados em Portugal), Adolfo Arrieta, Pierre Léon, Jean Renoir, Pedro Costa, João César Monteiro, Marie-Claude Treilhou, John Cassavettes, George Cukor, Yasujiro Ozu, Kenji Mizoguchi e muitos outros. Será ainda feita uma pequena homenagem a Jean-André Fieschi, realizador recentemente desaparecido, que tem sido também um importante interveniente neste programa desde há alguns anos (este ano ainda).
O ciclo abre no dia 30 de Outubro com o novo filme de Pedro Costa, “Ne Change Rien”, com a sua presença e a de Jeanne Balibar, e continuará entre 2 e 11 de Novembro, diariamente na Cinemateca Portuguesa com a presença constante dos seus participantes. Pierre Léon, Adolfo Arrieta, Marie Claude Treilhou, Bernard Eisenchitz, Bernard Benoliel, Jean Breschand, Émile Breton e Luce Vigo virão apresentar estes filmes e dialogar com realizadores e autores portugueses. A programação é coordenada por Pierre-Marie Goulet e Teresa Garcia com a colaboração de Ricardo Matos Cabo, em conjunto com a Cinemateca Portuguesa, e com a participação muito próxima de todos os intervenientes, em especial, nesta edição, Jean-André Fieschi e Bernard Eisenchitz.

“CINEMATOGRAFIA – TEATRALIDADE”
O cinema à volta de cinco artes – Cinco artes à volta do cinema
“The cinema around five arts, five arts around the cinema”, a Temps d’Images program that questions cinema and its relationship with the other arts, is in its fourth edition. If in the last two years the choreography in the cinema was approached, in this edition it questions the relations between cinema and theater.
The films presented will be watched and commented on from the point of view of theatricality through the own matter of cinema: its form, its construction, the representation.
Like in the previous editions, it is the relationship between the chosen films, the catalog, consisting of texts, mostly original which look at films from this perspective, and the encounter with the texts’ authors, filmmakers, critics, authors, etc., what constitutes the basis and matter sublimating this program.
The films will be presented by Gregory Markopoulos (which were never presented here in Portugal), Adolfo Arrieta, Pierre Léon, Jean Renoir, Pedro Costa, João César Monteiro, Marie-Claude Treilhou, John Cassavettes, George Cukor, Yasujiro Ozu, Kenji Mizoguchi and many others. This cycle will also feature a small tribute to Jean-André Fieschi, a recently disappeared director, who has also been an important intervener in this program for some years now (including this year).
The cycle premiers on October 30 with Pedro Costa’s new film, “Ne Change Rien”, counting with him and Jeanne Balibar’s presence, and will proceed between November 2 and 11, daily at the Cinemateca Portuguesa with the constant presence of their participants. Pierre Léon, Adolfo Arrieta, Marie Claude Treilhou, Bernard Eisenchitz, Bernard Benoliel, Jean Breschand, Émile Breton and Luce Vigo will present these films and debate them with some Portuguese filmmakers and authors. The programming is coordinated by Pierre-Marie Goulet and Teresa Garcia with the collaboration of Ricardo Matos Cabo, along with the Cinemateca Portuguesa, also counting with the very close participation of all the interveners and specially in this edition with Jean-André Fieschi and Bernard Eisenchitz.
