Olga de Soto, que podemos considerar precursora de um movimento de pesquisa e recuperação da memória da dança do século XX, que hoje tem cada vez mais força entre os criadores e intérpretes da dança contemporânea europeia, está atualmente a desenvolver um trabalho de pesquisa sobre A mesa verde, bailado mítico de Kurt Jooss em que podemos ler uma antevisão do fascismo e da guerra, e que estreou no Théâtre des Champs Elysées em Julho de 1932 – no mesmo teatro parisiense em que, em 1946, estreou Le Jeune Homme et la Mort, ponto de partida do espetáculo anterior, histoire(s) – escassos meses antes da ascensão de Hitler ao poder.

Olga de Soto, who may be considered the forerunner of a research movement and recovery of the memory of the twentieth-century dance, which today has more and more strength among the creators and performers of contemporary European dance, is currently developing a research work on The Green Table, a mythical ballet by Kurt Jooss in which we can have a preview of fascism and war. It premiered at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in July 1932 – in the same Parisian theater where Le Jeune Homme et la Mort, the starting point of the previous show, histoire(s) – a few months before Hitler’s rise to power.
