Em palco, um homem e uma mulher dançam e dialogam sobre acontecimentos que podiam muito bem não ter sucedido.
Imaginam como tudo poderia ter sido diferente se naquele instante não se tivesse verificado uma dada situação. Neste sentido, entende-se por colisão qualquer evento com profundo impacto nas nossas vidas, ainda que se trate de uma circunstância banal. Esta é uma coreografia de gestos e de sentidos. Uma acumulação aparentemente caótica de pontos de vista, de cenários de vida alternativos.
A palavra colisão remete-nos para as ideias de acidente, velocidade e imprevisibilidade de situações. Mas é claro que há diversos tipos de acidentes, dos mais banais aos mais trágicos, das catástrofes naturais e acidentes industriais e científicos até aos acontecimentos mais felizes, como um golpe de sorte ou o amor à primeira vista. O acidente é uma surpresa, um acontecimento inesperado, imprevisível. No projeto Collision(s), Isabella Soupart concentra-se nos acontecimentos que poderiam não ter acontecido ou que nem deveriam ter acontecido, mas que, ainda assim, tiveram lugar.

On stage, a man and a woman dance and talk about events that maybe could never take place.
They wonder how everything could have been different if a given event would never happened in that moment. In this sense, we can name a collision any event with a deep impact on our lives, even if it is an ordinary circumstance. This is a choreography of gestures and senses. A seemingly chaotic accumulation of point of views, of alternative life scenarios.
The word collision brings us the ideas of an accident, speed and unpredictability of situations. But of course, there are many kinds of accidents, from the most mundane to the most tragic ones, from natural disasters and industrial and scientific accidents to the happiest events, such as a lucky strike or love at first sight. The accident is a surprise, an unexpected event, unpredictable. In Collision(s), Isabella Soupart focuses on events that might not have happened or should not have happened but have taken place nevertheless.
