Desde 2004, Cécile Proust dirige femmeuses, que questiona as ligações entre o pensamento sobre género e o pós-modernismo na arte. Um trabalho sobre a codificação dos corpos, a invenção do género, o queer e a ordem sexual.
Femmeuses, que junta artistas e teóricos, concretiza-se em 23 femmeusesactions que assumem múltiplas formas: espetáculos, performances, vídeos, websites, textos, instalações, programação de espetáculos, comissariado de exposições.
Uma das últimas obras, femmeusesaction #19, final/ment/seule, é o prólogo de um posfácio, pessoal logo político, divertido, mas extremamente penetrante, feminista e sexual, tão preciso e documentado como leve e de má fé.
Pretensa lésbica que dorme com homens, Cécile Proust, pós-feminista vândala, utiliza tudo o que está à mão, está só mas bem acompanhada, talvez nua mas é a que veste as calças.
Entre o autorretrato e o panfleto, este manifesto íntimo é um rizoma em que florescem outras vozes.

Since 2004, Cécile Proust directs femmeuses, which questions the links between gender thinking and postmodernism in art. A work on the codification of bodies, the invention of gender, the queer and the sexual order.
Femmeuses, which brings together artists and theorists, is embodied in 23 femmeusesactions which take on multiple forms: shows, performances, videos, websites, texts, installations, show scheduling, exhibitions commissariat.
One of the latest works, femmeusesaction #19, final/ment/seule, is the prologue to an afterword, personal so it’s political, funny but extremely penetrating, feminist and sexual, as accurate and documented as light and of bad faith.
A pretense lesbian who sleeps with men, Cécile Proust, a post-feminist vandal, uses everything close to her, alone but well accompanied, perhaps naked but she is the one who wears the pants.
Between the self-portrait and the pamphlet, this intimate manifesto is a rhizome in which other voices flourish.
She can touch your skin, but she can also shiver it.
Soft and silky, but spicy to the skin.
Impatient, on-going and long-term.
Singular, so it is universal. That is, an impossible thing.
