“MIND-BODY-BRAIN LAB”

As pesquisas performáticas que temos conduzido – fora de qualquer sistematismo – em torno do tema tríplice Mente-Corpo-Cérebro levaram-nos a desenvolver uma série de exercícios, do físico ao figurativo, que tiveram o objetivo de produzir figuras entre o pessoal, a realidade física dos artistas e a ficção – uma ficção necessariamente incerta, tão indistinta e alternante quanto a própria realidade (quando a realidade não é tomada como garantida). Em termos mais gerais, isso levou-nos a examinar a função da ficção na nossa era dita cínica e desiludida e a relação entre o artista e seu meio no que diz respeito à criação de um discurso.

The performative researches that we have been conducting – out of any systematism – around the triple theme Mind-Body-Brain have led us to develop a series of exercises, from the physical to the figurative, which had the aim to bring forth figures half-way between the personal, the physical reality of the performers and fiction – a fiction necessarily uncertain, as indistinct and changing as reality itself (when reality is not taken for granted). More generally, this has led us to examine the function of fiction in our so-called cynical and disillusioned era and the relationship between the artist and his milieu as regards to the creation of a discourse.
