Em What I Heard About the World, a mala voadora e a companhia inglesa Third Angel tentam mapear um planeta esférico numa superfície plana.
Com base numa recolha global de situações do quotidiano onde a realidade integra o falso, Jorge Andrade, Alexander Kelly e Chris Thorpe catalogam países e partilham histórias num espetáculo no qual se interroga se temos de fingir o mundo para percebê-lo.
As duas companhias conhecem-se desde 2004 e têm-se encontrado ocasionalmente para discutir ideias com vista a uma colaboração. Foi dessas conversas que resultou o projeto para What I Heard About the World. A mala voadora é uma companhia sedeada em Lisboa, dirigida por Jorge Andrade e José Capela. Depois de três criações com encenadores convidados, a partir de Os Justos de Camus (menção honrosa do Prémio Madalena Azeredo Perdigão, 2004), Jorge Andrade tem dirigido os projetos da companhia. Com What I Heard About the World a mala voadora regressa ao Teatro Maria Matos, após as coproduções Chinoiserie e Spitx. Third Angel é uma companhia inglesa, dirigida por Alexander Kelly e Rachel Walton. Colaboraram com o Programa Gulbenkian Criatividade e Criação Artística, orientando workshops de encenação, e apresentaram na Culturgest Where from Here (2002) e Presumption (2008).

In What I Heard About the World, mala voadora and the English company Third Angel try to map a spherical planet on a flat surface.
Jorge Andrade, Alexander Kelly and Chris Thorpe catalog countries and share stories in a show where they wonder if we have to fake the world in order to perceive it.
The two companies know each other since 2004 and have met occasionally to discuss ideas for a collaboration. What I Heard About the World is a result from these encounters. mala voadora is a company based in Lisbon, headed by Jorge Andrade and José Capela. After three creations with guest directors, inspired by The Just by Albert Camus (honorable mention of the Madalena Azeredo Perdigão Prize, 2004), Jorge Andrade has directed the company’s projects. With What I Heard About the World, mala voadora returns to the Maria Matos Theatre, after the co-productions Chinoiserie and Spitx. Third Angel is an English company, directed by Alexander Kelly and Rachel Walton. They collaborated with the Gulbenkian Criatividade e Criação Artística Program, organizing staging workshops, and presented in Culturgest the works Where from Here (2002) and Presumption (2008).
