NO ONE ELSE

An artist is someone who produces statements in his own name for public debate. What a great risk!

All other people speak for themselves and under the cover of a political party, an economic organization, a bank, a scientific institution, an association, a church, a museum, a ministry, an editor, father, mother, teacher, sociologist, economist, physician, lawyer, expert…

… always invested with this institutional power which implies on others to listen to their opinions or proposals.

Always attended by the audience on the assumption that if someone speaks “in the name of …” some truth will be there, and even if it does not, it is not allowed to ignore.

An artist has not been invested with any power that compels others to notice his research. Certainly, the artist will strive for his work with the utmost dedication, so that others will feel interested. But that depends entirely on them.

Only by communicating with the artist, or with what he has put at our disposal, we can live our own reality in a different way – without manipulations. We are not talking about worlds without barriers erected by the control of social forces, but of individual approaches to the enigmas and possibilities of the world.

Communicating with an artist is like traveling through unknown worlds. This year, 35 filmmakers from around the world worked hard to open us a door to new universes, showing us how they do it. They invite you to communicate with about 40 artists.

What kind of worlds will we reach?

This, as I have said, depends entirely on you.
