“A GRANDE ILUSÃO”

Em abril de 2012, no âmbito da Noite do Manifesto, Sofia Dinger apresentou uma performance em que apelava a Jean Renoir, nome maior do cinema francês. Dois anos depois regressa ao mestre. Uma atriz apropria-se das palavras de um realizador e propõe uma peça de teatro sobre a arte e a vida.
«“Ao escolher um Mestre, o melhor é escolher um que seja grande. Isto não quer dizer que estamos a comparar-nos. Significa, simplesmente, que estamos a tentar aprender alguma coisa com ele”, disse Jean Renoir. E eu segui o conselho, escolhendo-o como um dos meus Mestres.
Encontro-me com ele na sua desconfiança no que toca a planos demasiado definidos, partilho a sua incapacidade de seguir uma linha. “Amo o meu caos”: Percebo “a personagem secreta, misteriosa, a que age ao arrepio das nossas vontades”, que engole a partir de dentro e de que ele tanto fala. E procuro a exaltação do estado de vida, a volúpia, a violência de um corpo em desejo deitado nas margens pinceladas dum rio. Confio que “há um momento em que a criação nos escapa.” E que é nesse momento que estou. Entretanto, recorro ao Mon petit théâtre e construo na companhia do Mestre que escolhi, apropriando-me da sua receita de felicidade: amar muito a realidade. “Memórias inventadas são as que melhor vivem em nós” porque “tu és o outro e… nada mais.”
E não tenho a certeza se o que acabei de escrever é mesmo verdade ou, talvez, uma grande ilusão.»

In April 2012, by the scope of the Night of the Manifesto, Sofia Dinger presented a performance in which she appealed to Jean Renoir, the renowned French filmmaker. Two years later she returns to the master. An actress appropriates the words of a director and proposes a play about art and life.
«”By choosing a Master, it is better to choose one that is great. This does not mean that we are comparing ourselves. It simply means that we are trying to learn something from him”, said Jean Renoir. And I followed his advice by choosing him as one of my Masters.
I meet him in his distrust over very defined plans, I share his inability to follow a path. “I love my chaos”: I perceive “the secret, mysterious character, who acts in the shade of our wills”, who swallows from the inside and of whom he talks so much. And I seek the exaltation of the state of life, the voluptuousness, the violence of a body desired lying on the brushy banks of a river. I believe that “there is a time when creation escapes us.” And that is where I am. In the meantime, I turn to Mon petit théâtre and create in the company of the chosen Master, taking his recipe for happiness: to love reality very much. “Invented memories are the ones that live best within us” because “you are the other and… nothing more.”
And I’m not sure if what I just wrote is really true or perhaps just a great illusion.»
