“FIM DA FITA”

Em Fevereiro deste ano o Cão Solteiro & André Godinho apresentaram o espetáculo de teatro Day for Night onde transformaram o palco da Culturgest num estúdio de cinema. A ação teatral, interpretada por atores e técnicos de cinema, consistia na rodagem de um filme: Fim da Fita.
O filme foi escrito em função de uma construção dramatúrgica que servia o espetáculo, mas foi também pensado como um objeto totalmente independente e que não deve ser visto como um complemento à peça de teatro.
No espetáculo assistia-se a um diálogo entre os territórios do cinema e do teatro, sobretudo entre efeito de realidade do primeiro e o artificialismo do segundo.
O filme questiona o lado perene do cinema, em contraste com a efemeridade do teatro, através da história de uma atriz que se interroga sobre o filme que está a fazer.

In February of this year, Cão Solteiro & André Godinho presented the theater show Day for Night where they transformed the Culturgest stage into a film studio. The theatrical action, performed by actors and film technicians, consisted in the shooting of a film: Fim da Fita.
The film was written in terms of a dramaturgical construction that served the show, but was also thought as a totally independent object and should not be seen as a complement to the play.
In the show there was a dialogue between the territories of cinema and theater, especially between the reality effect of the first and the artificialism of the second.
The film questions the perennial side of cinema, in contrast to the ephemerality of the theater, through the story of an actress who wonders about the film she is working in.
