UMA VIAGEM NA TERRA – Dia de Abertura
O projeto de espetáculos e oficinas Viagem na Terra é um convite para sentirmos através do nosso corpo o palpitar do planeta que habitamos. Para aprender a distinguir duas formas de nos relacionarmos com o nosso corpo e com o património natural do planeta: ou como um território de depredação, violência e destruição; ou como o local da nossa passagem pela vida, e que temos de cuidar, ou pelo menos não fragilizar.
Este “dia de abertura” não é apenas uma apresentação: trata-se também de escutar os nossos convidados, reunir ideias, críticas e sugestões, para que o projeto seja menos resultado de dogmas do que uma vontade de estabelecer um “sentido comum”.
A MONARQUIA INFANTIL – RUI CATALÃO
O uso dos termos príncipe e princesa para entronizarmos as nossas crianças banalizou-se na última geração. Como se já não bastasse o envelhecimento da nossa sociedade, a quebra demográfica e a proliferação de espaços concentracionários que expulsaram a infância da vida livre na rua (assim como uma pesada agenda de regras, atividades e obrigações curriculares e extracurriculares que lhes roubam boa parte do tempo livre), à infância foi também imposto o modelo de governação monárquico, que se caracteriza por um poder simbólico e por um fosso protetor que separa as pessoas de acordo com classes e estatutos que pouco têm a ver com as dinâmicas entre a personalidade e as suas ações. As crianças ganharam um estatuto privilegiado: são especiais. Resta-lhes submeterem-se às expectativas, ou, perversamente, tornarem-se pequenos tiranos. Com todos os benefícios, privilégios e recompensas, o seu caminho parece ser mais solitário e vulnerável do que aquele que imaginámos ao “coroá-las”.
Com esta proposta, pretendo partir para um espaço de debate onde se possam trabalhar, em regime de laboratório, modelos de relacionamento. O objetivo é procurar entender o papel na educação do exemplo e do juízo moral, da partilha e da delegação de tarefas, da coerência e da contradição, da projeção e da ameaça, do castigo e da recompensa, do protecionismo e do sentido crítico, da curiosidade e do medo, da ambição e do reconhecimento, da oferta e da partilha, do horizonte e da fronteira.
Se a educação delimita o território do conhecimento, quais são as áreas em que o nosso património é firme, aquelas outras em que pode ser negociado, e as restantes que estão ainda abertas à intuição e à descoberta?
UMA LUZ NA TERRA – Espetáculo para bebés

8 aos 24 meses, máximo 15 bebés e respetivos acompanhantes
Quando o dia acorda aqui, ele adormece ali. Quando a noite aterra em ti, o galo canta para mim. Quando a terra bem no fundo treme, a baleia avisa com o seu canto; e quando ela treme por fora, as aves saltam ao vento. Quando as nuvens viajam no ar, a sombra aparece na cara; e quando deixam de ser impulsionadas pelo vento, o mosquito ataca a pele. Quando a sede alimenta a alma, a água intercepta os buracos e quando a luz está na terra tu estás aqui ao meu lado.
Uma luz na terra é um espetáculo onde os bebés circulam no meio de imagens projetadas no chão, objetos são-lhes dados às mãos e as histórias são contadas aos ouvidos e dançadas junto deles. Um espetáculo onde o público é levado de maneira cinética à procura de uma verdade que está dentro das coisas e das suas formas, podendo mexer e reinventar a relação que temos com elas.
Um espetáculo dedicado aos bebés e a todos aqueles que conservem a sua pureza.

UMA VIAGEM NA TERRA – Opening Day
The project Viagem na Terra, consisting on a series of shows and workshops, is an invitation to feel through our body the pulse of the planet we inhabit. In order to learn to distinguish two ways of relating to our body and the natural heritage of the planet: or as a territory of depredation, violence and destruction; or as the place of our passage through life, and which we must take care of, or at least not weaken it.
This “opening day” is not just a presentation: it is also about been able to listen to our guests, gathering ideas, criticisms and suggestions, so that the project is less a result of dogmas than a desire to establish a “common sense”.
A MONARQUIA INFANTIL – RUI CATALÃO
The use of the terms prince and princess to enthrone our children has trivialized itself in the last generation. As if the aging of our society was no longer enough, the demographic breakdown and the proliferation of centered spaces that expelled childhood from a free life on the street (as well as a heavy agenda of rules, activities and curricular and extracurricular obligations which take away from them much of the free time), to childhood was also imposed the model of monarchic governance characterized by a symbolic power and a protective gap that separates people according to classes and statutes that have less in common with the dynamics between personality and their actions. The children have gained a privileged status: they are special. It remains for them to submit to expectations, or, perversely, to become little tyrants. With all the benefits, privileges, and rewards, their path seems to be lonelier and more vulnerable than the one we imagined when we “crowned” them.
With this proposal, I intend to create a space of debate where we can work, in a laboratory environment, some relationship models. The aim is to understand the role of education in example and moral judgment, in sharing and delegation of tasks, in coherence and contradiction, projection and threat, punishment and reward, in protectionism and critical sense, curiosity and fear, ambition, recognition and sharing, in the horizon and the border.
If education delimits the territory of knowledge, what are the areas in which our heritage is firm, those in which it can be negotiated, and the others that are still open to intuition and discovery?
UMA LUZ NA TERRA – Baby show

When the day wakes up here, he falls asleep there. When night falls on you, the rooster sings for me. When the deep earth vibrates, the whale warns with its song; and when it vibrates on the outside, the birds jump into the wind. When the clouds travel in the air, the shadow appears on the face; and when they stop being driven by the wind, the mosquito attacks the skin. When the thirst feeds the soul, the water intercepts the holes and when the light is on earth you are here by my side.
Uma luz na terra is a show where babies circulate in the midst of images projected on the ground, where objects are given to them and stories are told by their ears and danced with them. A show where the public is kinetically taken in the search of a truth that is within the things and their shapes, being able to move and reinvent the relationship we have with them.
A show dedicated to babies and all those who preserve their purity.
