A queda do sentido do sagrado na contemporaneidade inaugura a procura de uma nova relação com o real. Declarar um objeto como um enigma onde o sagrado está camuflado ou em iminente explosão, é chamar a atenção para o seu mistério e razão de ser.
Seguindo os passos de Pasolini, que exaltou o sentido popular do sagrado com figuras do povo, muitas vezes marginais do subproletariado urbano ou rural, John Romão traz consigo para o palco um grupo de jovens skaters, hierofanizados por um amor pelo real. Inspirado no texto e filme homónimos de Pasolini, Teorema é uma experiência mística e religiosa para 1 actor, 12 skaters e 1 acordionista, que toca a sonata Et Excepto de uma das maiores compositoras contemporâneas vivas, Sofia Gubaidulina, criadora da “Música Pobre”. Em cena, figuras diferentes, biopolíticas e em direção a uma bioreligiosidade, veículos que promovem o encontro com o sagrado no próprio corpo, numa luta pela destruição da “imagem”. Enigmática e profética, esta proposta visual e sonora conduz a uma epifania em que o sagrado e o erótico irrompem.

“TEOREMA”

The fall of the sense of the sacred in contemporaneity initiates the search for a new relationship with the real. Declaring an object as an enigma where the sacred is camouflaged or in imminent explosion is to draw attention to its mystery and reason for being.
Following the footsteps of Pasolini, who exalted the popular sense of the sacred with figures of the people, often marginal to the urban or rural subproletariat, John Romão brings with him to the stage a group of young skaters, in an hierophany by the love for reality. Inspired by Pasolini’s text and eponymous film, Teorema is a mystical and religious experience for 1 actor, 12 skaters and 1 accordionist, who plays the sonata Et Excepto, by one of the greatest contemporary female composers, Sofia Gubaidulina, creator of “Poor Music”. On stage, different figures, biopolitical and towards a bioreligiousness, vehicles which promote the encounter with the sacred in the body itself, in a fight for the destruction of the “image”. Enigmatic and prophetic, this visual and sound proposal leads to an epiphany in which the sacred and the erotic erupt.
