O programa apresentado pelo Ar.Co – Centro de Arte e Comunicação, para edição este ano do FUSO – Festival Internacional de Videoarte de Lisboa, reúne uma seleção de quatro trabalhos realizados pelos alunos do Curso de Cinema/Imagem em Movimento que responderam ao desafio de pensar as ideias de “Resiliência. Esperança. Comunidade.”, motes para a edição de 2022.
Imagens de found footage, imagens de satélite, imagens oníricas, que de algum modo nos mostram como ainda estamos afastados dos lugares que desejamos serem os nossos espaços de ação.
Em “Foltar”, de Teresa Molina, fala-se da intimidade habitando-a com imagens de desconhecidos; “Re-collection”, de Ana Teresa Martins, também usa arquivos colectivos para fabricar tensões entre espaços e ações; Nuno Gonçalves, em “amazonia breat”, utiliza o som para, de modo pessimista, nos conduzir através de uma geografia que é cartografada à distância; em “Sonho Tingido”, de Tomás Guedes, o hiato é produzido pelo espaço onírico onde a distância é, antes de mais, um problema da percepção.
Curtos filmes, onde a ideia de comunidade é estranhamente atravessada por espaços contaminados pela solidão.
AMAZONIA BREATH – Nuno Gonçalves
Amazonia Breath explora as relações entre as sensações sonoras imaginárias da respiração e da destruição pelo fogo e as sensações visuais da floresta da amazónia, dita por muitos como o pulmão do mundo. a respiração dá lugar ao fogo e este à respiração electrónica. Os caminhos longínquos da floresta da Amazónia são o lugar onde o pulmão é inexoravelmente destruído. O dia de hoje dá lugar ao mundo-não-mundo de amanhã.
FLOTAR – Teresa Olea Molina
Flotar (Boiar), surge como produto dum exercício criativo com o objectivo de elaborar um filme unicamente com material de arquivo.
Um filme intimista que fala sobre a ansiedade e o desejo de fugir, mas também sobre a busca da calma e a procura do silêncio interno como forma de resiliência.
RE-COLLECTION – Ana Teresa Martins
Uma viagem pela memória, espaço de arquivo pessoal e colectivo no qual se encontram e conjugam sentimentos e sensações antagónicas.
SONHO TINGIDO – Tomás Guedes
Durante a noite, nasce a ilusão proveniente dos processos sinápticos do delírio. No feitiço para a clareza surgem desafios da relação entre o corpo e mente. Neste universo psicológico de confusão mental, o choque induz a distorção e mudanças de percepção.

The program proposed by Ar.Co – School of Arts and Visual Communication for this year’s edition of FUSO – International Videoart Festival of Lisbon, is composed by a selection of four works made by students of the Film Course who have accepted the challenge of working around the festival’s motto: “Resilience. Hope. Community.”
Found footage, satellite or dreamlike images somehow show us how far away we still are from attaining the spaces we wish were ours; ours for our actions.
In Foltar, Teresa Molina addresses intimacy by inhabiting it with images of strangers; Re-collection, by Ana Teresa Martins, also uses archival footage to fabricate tensions between spaces and actions; Nuno Gonçalves, in amazonia breat, uses sound to guide us, not without pessimism, through a geography that is mapped from the distance; Sonho Tingido, Tomás Guedes, is about the hiatus that derives from a dreamscape where distance is, first and foremost, a problem of perception.
Short films, where the idea of community is strangely crossed by spaces contaminated by loneliness.
AMAZONIA BREATH – Nuno Gonçalves
Amazonia Breath explores the relation between the imaginary sensations of the sounds of breathing and of destruction by fire and the visual perception of the Amazonian forest, considered by many to be the world’s lung. Breathing gives way to fire and fire to electronic breathing. the distant paths of the Amazonian forest are the place where the lung is inexorably destroyed. today will become tomorrow’s non-world world.
FLOATING – Teresa Olea Molina
Flotar (Floating), is the product of a creative exercise made with the aim of producing a film solely with archival material.
An intimate film that talks about anxiety and the desire to escape, but also about the search for calm and the search for inner silence as a form of resilience.

A journey through memory, personal and collective where feelings and antagonistic sensations combine.
TINGED DREAM – Tomás Guedes
At night, an illusion that derives from synaptic processes of delirium occurs. Under the spell that leads to clarity, challenges emerge from the relationship between body and mind. In this psychological universe of mental confusion, the shock induces distortion and changes in perception.
