O vídeo mostra o desenvolvimento de uma das muitas manifestações políticas contra o infame muro de separação nos territórios ocupados.


Avi Mograbi, Details 2 & 3, Israel, 2004, 9’50’’

Dois “detalhes” de um filme mais longo do artista. Na primeira parte, vemos a reação dos soldados, quando perdem o anonimato e a impunidade, enquanto a segunda mostra o próprio Mograbi a descontrolar-se perante a indiferença dos soldados do FDI e os seus abusos sobre crianças palestinas.


Yossi Attia & Itamar Rose, The State of Judeo-Arabia, Israel, 2007, 4’30’’

Yossi e Itamar vão para as cidades árabe israelitas de Taybeh e Tira, tentando estabelecer com os cidadãos locais um estado binacional Palestino-Israelita com o nome Judeo-Arabia. Fazem audições para o primeiro Chefe de Gabinete Árabe, pintam uma bandeira, e escolhem um novo inimigo para o estado da Judeo-Arabia.

O artista toma conta de uma oliveira à maneira da tradição árabe penteando as suas raízes, regando-a de forma especial, e recolhendo as azeitonas. Apenas no final, vemos que a oliveira está na praça central de Telavive.


Yael Bartana, A Declaration, Israel, 2006, 7’55’’

Um gesto simbólico. Uma metáfora ativista. Um jovem decide inverter a história, trocar de símbolos nacionais. Uma declaração.

O trabalho mostra um grupo de ativistas israelitas e internacionais a reconstruir uma casa demolida nos territórios ocupados pelo exército para fins de anexação.


Yael Bartana, Wall & Tower, Israel, 2009, 13’54’’

A sequela de MaryKoszmary – um apelo apaixonado aos judeus para que regressem à Polónia. Em Wall & Tower o apelo é materializado por uma avant-garde de judeus que constroem uma colónia no centro de Varsóvia.

The video shows the development of one of many political demonstrations against the infamous separation wall in the occupied territories.


Avi Mograbi, Details 2 & 3, Israel, 2004, 9’50’’

Two “details” out of a longer film by the artist. In the first part we see the reaction of soldiers when they lose their anonymity and impunity, while the second shows Mograbi himself losing his temper on the indifference of IDF soldiers and their abuse of Palestinian children.


Yossi Attia & Itamar Rose, The State of Judeo-Arabia, Israel, 2007, 4’30’’

Yossi and Itamar go to the Arab-Israeli cities of Taybeh and Tira, trying to establish a bi-national, Palestinian-Israeli state by the name of Judeo-Arabia with the local citizens. They hold auditions for the first Arab Chief of Staff, paint a new flag, and choose a new enemy for the state of Judeo-Arabia.

The artist takes care of an olive tree in the traditional Arab way – combing its roots, watering it in a special way and gathering the olives. Only in the end, we see the olive tree located in Tel Aviv’s central square.

A symbolic gesture. An activist metaphor. A young man decides to reverse history, to exchange national symbols. A declaration.

The work shows a group of international and Israeli activists re-building a house demolished in the Occupied territories by the army for annexation purposes.

The sequel of Mary Koszmary – a passionate call for the Jews to return to Poland. In Wall & Tower the call is materialized by an avant-garde of Jews building a settlement in the center of Warsaw.
