Andromeda convoca a expressão artística e cinematográfica inscrita na televisão pública italiana nos anos 1960 e 1970, escolhendo abranger a turbulência e a energia generativa desses anos. É a primeira idade do projecto público televisivo, utópica e iluminada, anos em que o cinema questiona também profundamente a sua relação com o real e em que surge a resposta experimental da videoarte. É a personagem de uma jovem telespectadora, entregue à descoberta e à experimentação do novo medium, a transportar-nos através do tempo. As imagens do passado olham para nós e pedem para comparecermos diante delas. Voltar a ver não diz respeito ao passado, é uma exploração de possíveis deslocações entre o passado e o presente. Esbatendo os limites entre o documento e a invenção, o filme coloca o espectador entre o tempo da primeira idade da televisão e o tempo da sua presença em sala, entre a memória e a imaginação, a utopia e a experimentação.

Evocation of the artistic and cinematic expression of 1960s and 1970s’ public television in Italy. It is the early age of public broadcasting, during which cinema also questions its relation to reality and video art emerges as an experimental answer. The character, a young female viewer, committed to exploring and trying out a new medium, carries us through time. Blurring the lines between document and creation, the film places the viewer between the early age period of television and the period of time she spends in the room, between memory and imagination, utopia and experimentation.
