Preocupado com as memórias fragmentadas da minha infância durante a guerra civil em Moçambique, regresso à aldeia da minha avó para para revelar as histórias não contadas. A minha avó sofre de Alzheimer e as suas memórias estão a desvanecer-se. Na mesma aldeia vive um antigo rebelde. Perpetrador e vítima, dia e noite, verdade e ficção misturam-se. Enquanto a minha geração enfrenta novas tensões, os fantasmas da guerra são incansáveis e esperam na escuridão.

Concerned with the fragmented memories of my childhood during the civil war in Mozambique, I return to my grandmother’s village to reveal the untold stories. My grandmother has Alzheimer’s, and her memories are fading. In the same village lives a former rebel. Perpetrator and victim, day and night, truth and fiction merge. As my generation is facing new tensions, the ghosts of the war are tireless and wait in the darkness.
