“FUSO 2016 – 23 a 28 de Agosto“

De 23 a 28 de Agosto a 8ª edição do FUSO – Anual de Vídeo Arte Internacional de Lisboa abraçará as noites de verão Lisboeta com uma plateia de espreguiçadeiras preparada especialmente para a apresentação de experiências artísticas marcantes da Vídeo Arte no Museu de Arte Arquitetura e Tecnologia, no Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado, no Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, no Museu da Marioneta e nas espetaculares ruínas do Museu Arqueológico do Carmo.
Em 2016 a programação será novamente composta pelas já habituais sessões competitivas nacionais selecionadas por Jean-François Chougnet e apoiadas pela Fundação EDP. O prémio de aquisição atribuído pelo júri e o prémio do público serão anunciados no último dia do FUSO.
As restantes sessões são programadas sobre as diferentes perspetivas de artistas, curadores, programadores e teóricos de arte: Vivian Ostrovsky (curadora e cineasta), Bruno Leitão (curador, Hangar), Miguel von Hafe Pérez (crítico e curador), Daniela Arriado (curadora), Lori Zippay (Electronic Arts Intermix), Thierry Destriez (Heure Exquise) e Christine Van Assche (Centre Georges Pompidou). Os screenings serão ainda complementados por uma série de encontros no Palácio Pombal coordenados por Elsa Aleluia.
Paralelamente, será apresentado em colaboração com e na Travessa da Ermida uma programação dedicada ao 45º aniversário de uma das mais prestigiadas instituições de vídeo arte do mundo, a Electronic Arts Intermix.
O FUSO encontra-se inserido na programação do Lisboa na Rua – Verão ao Ar Livre, uma iniciativa da EGEAC.

The 8th edition of FUSO – International Annual Video Art Festival of Lisbon, taking place between August 23rd to the 28th, will embrace Lisbon’s summer nights with an audience full of loungers especially prepared for the presentation of outstanding artistic experiences in Video Art at MAAT – Museu de Arte, Arquitetura e Tecnologia, Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado, Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, Museu da Marionetta and also at the spectacular ruins of Museu Arqueológico do Carmo.
In 2016 the program will once again feature the traditional National Competition, selected by Jean-François Chougnet and supported by the EDP Foundation. The acquisition award by the jury as the audience award will be both announced on the last day of FUSO.
The remaining sessions are programmed by the different perspectives of artists, curators, programmers and art theorists: Vivian Ostrovsky (curator and filmmaker), Bruno Leitão (curator, Hangar), Miguel von Hafe Pérez (critic and curator), Daniela Arriado (curator), Lori Zippay (Electronic Arts Intermix), Thierry Destriez (Heure Exquise) and Christine Van Assche (Centre Georges Pompidou). The screenings will also be complemented by a series of encounters coordinated by Elsa Aleluia at the Pombal Palace.
During the festival, we will be showing, in collaboration with and at Travessa da Ermida, a program dedicated to the 45th anniversary of one of the most prestigious video art institutions in the world, Electronic Arts Intermix.
FUSO is part of the program Lisboa na Rua – Verão ao Ar Livre, an initiative of EGEAC.
