“MONSIEUR ZÉRO, FAMOUS WHEN DEAD”

Neste solo, Alexandre Castres, antigo bailarino de Pina Bausch, veste a pele de Monsieur Zéro, personagem singular que vai evoluindo ao longo do espetáculo e se coloca em cena num universo de filme negro, cujas referências são muito diversas: de Cioran a Pierre Desproges.
Inspirado na citação de um sábio chinês: “Vou-me divertir a morrer, essa é a essência do jogo”, Monsieur Zéro opta por questionar a imagem da sua morte, jogar com as formas como ela se apresenta, para melhor a apreender e tentar aceitá-la.
Através duma mistura entre dança, teatro e vídeo – áreas que o francês Alexandre Castres tem vindo a trabalhar ao longo dos anos – Monsieur Zéro envolve o espectador numa viagem plena de humor e poesia.
(EN) Synopsis
In this solo, Alexandre Castres, former dancer of Pina Bausch, acts the role of Monsieur Zéro, a strange character who evolves during the performance and places himself on the stage in a universe of a black film, a universe whose references are very varied, from Cioran to Pierre Desproges.
Inspired by the saying of a wise Chinese “I am going to have fun while dying, this is the essence of the game”, Monsieur Zéro chooses to question the image of his death, plays with the forms which it presents, to better understand and accept it.
Through a mixture of dance, theatre and video – areas which the French Alexandre Castres has been working on along the years – Monsieur Zéro involves the spectator in a voyage full of humor and poetry.
