Neste projeto pretendo olhar, retrospectivamente, para o tempo presente.
O que fazemos hoje pertence ao passado, o que somos hoje pertence ao passado, o discurso que exercemos hoje pertence ao passado, nós pertencemos ao passado, somos ainda reféns desse passado que se apossou de nós e nos torna resistentes a uma urgente alteração de referências e comportamentos.
Neste trabalho não me apetece repetir constantes alertas para o fim dos tempos, para a tragicidade do futuro que nos espera. Quero saltar esse passo e imaginar esse depois onde já estamos livres da catástrofe porque somos a própria catástrofe. Poderemos finalmente incorporá-la, usá-la, vesti-la, e sermos assim chamados a assumir a sua causa e a viver a sua consequência.
O interlocutor será o próprio espetador dessa homenagem futura à sua vida presente.
Biografia
Lígia Soares (Lisboa, 1978) é uma coreógrafa e dramaturga portuguesa que tem vindo a questionar o espaço cénico como um espaço distanciado. Começou o seu trabalho profissional com a Companhia de Teatro Senssuround em 1997. Foi artista residente da Tanzfabrik- Berlin entre 2004 e 2006, foi bolseira da DanceWeb em 2018 (Viena) o seu trabalho tem sido apresentado nacional e internacionalmente estando presente em vários programas de teatro e dança contemporânea. As suas peças “Romance” (2015), “Cinderela” (2018) e “Civilização” (2019) estão editadas pela Douda Correria. Recebeu a bolsa de criação artística e literária da DGLAB em 2020. “Cinderela” ganhou o prémio Eurodram 2018.
Sónia Baptista é formada em Dança Contemporânea pelo Fórum Dança.É mestra em Choreography and Performance pela Universidade de Roehampton em Londres, Reino Unido.Em 2001, foi-lhe atribuído o Prémio Ribeiro da Fonte de Revelação na área da Dança pelo, então, Ministério da Cultura por Haikus (o seu primeiro trabalho). Desde aí o seu tem trabalho explorado e experimentado com as linguagens da Dança, Performance, Música, Literatura, Teatro e Vídeo, apresentando peças em vários Festivais e Teatros em Portugal e no estrangeiro. Coreógrafa, Escritora e Dramaturga, tem sete livros publicados.Tem colaborado com a ESTC, ESD, Fórum Dança e outras instituições de ensino, bem como com a CNB em diversos projectos. Artista Associada da AADK Portugal.

In this project I intend to look retrospectively at the current time.
What we do today belongs to the past, what we are today belongs to the past, the discourse we hold today belongs to the past, we belong to the past, we are still hostages of that past that has taken over us and makes us resist to an urgent change of references and behaviors. In this work I don’t intend to repeat constant warnings for the end of times, for the tragic future that awaits us. I want to skip this step and imagine later on, when we are already free of the catastrophe because we became the catastrophe itself. We can finally incorporate it, wear it, and be called to assume its causes and live its consequences.
The recipient will be the spectator who will regard a future tribute to his present life.
Biography
Lígia Soares Is a choreographer and playwright who has been questioning the scenic space as a space distanced from the viewer framing the performance actions as a gesture of presence. Since 2001 she created more then 20 pieces a solo or in collaboration. She’s toke part in several programs of contemporary dance and artistic residencies Tanzfabrik-Berlin, Danceweb, Fabrik Potsdam, Centre National de la Danse, etc. Her plays “Romance”, “Cinderella” and “Civilização” are published by Douda Correria. She is recipient of the grant for artistic and literary creation by the DGLAB (Ministry of Culture of Portugal) in 2020. She won the prize Eurodram 2018 with her play “Cinderella”.
Sónia Baptista has a degree in Contemporary Dance from Fórum Dança.
She has a master’s degree in Choreography and Performance from the University of Roehampton in London, United Kingdom.In 2001, she was awarded the Ribeiro da Fonte de Revelation Award in the Dance area by the Ministry of Culture for Haikus (his first work). Since then, her work has explored and experimented with the languages of Dance, Performance, Music, Literature, Theater and Video, presenting performances in various Festivals and Theaters in Portugal and abroad. Choreographer, Writer and Playwright, she has published seven books. She has collaborated with ESTC, ESD, Fórum Dança and other educational institutions, as well as with CNB in several projects. Associate Artist of AADK Portugal.
