INSTALAÇÃO VÍDEO – EM RETROSPETIVA
Três retratos,
três artistas portuguesas,
três canções à volta do tempo,
extraídas das suas vidas,
do teatro, da dança e do cinema.
Um longo tempo de exposição,
três gerações diferentes,
três sentimentos diferentes perante o tempo e a imagem.
Pedi-lhes que cantassem três canções,
já interpretadas nos seus percursos profissionais:
“Fino all’ultimo minuto”, Piero Ciampi, 1961
“Oração ao tempo”, Caetano Veloso, 1979
“Ie te vurria vasà “, Russo e Di Capua, 1900
Trabalhámos o tempo com um olhar amplo,
entre a imagem e a voz,
entre o tempo de uma canção e o tempo de um retrato,
no espaço mais íntimo do canto e do olhar,
ao encontro de uma ressonância do tempo.
Na instalação, os três retratos
são mostrados num só espaço,
60’ onde os três rostos coexistem autonomamente,
mas cúmplices no tempo.

“CHANT PORTRAITS”

Three portraits,
three Portuguese artists,
three songs around time,
extracted from their lives,
from theater, dance and cinema.
A long time of exposure,
three different generations,
three different feelings about time and image.
I asked them to sing three songs,
already performed in their professional course:
“Fino all’ultimo minuto”, Piero Ciampi, 1961
“Oração ao tempo”, Caetano Veloso, 1979
“Ie te vurria vasà”, Russo e Di Capua, 1900
We worked the time with a broad vision,
between the image and the voice,
between the time of a song and the time of a portrait,
in the most intimate space of the singing and the gaze,
to meet a resonance of time.
In the installation, the three portraits
are shown in a single space,
60′ where the three faces coexist autonomously,
but they are complices in time.
